I mostly write about databases. This will probably will be my first and last writing about IOS tricks. I want to add this tip here only to help people who searched and found nothing on the net.
In recent versions of IOS, you can remove the Settings icon. Mine is IOS 15 and I accidentally removed it. I searched a lot on the net on how to bring it back, but surprisingly I have found nothing. Many suggested resetting IOS settings, others suggested restoring IOS from the backup which does not make sense at all.
I then played with it a bit and discovered it can be added without restoring IOS.
To resolve it;
- Go to the application library (swipe to the rightmost screen on the home)
- Find the Settings icon there, press and hold, and choose “Add to the Home Screen”
